9Final Exam
- Theoretical: This assessment consists of fifty multiple-choice questions. Approval is required to obtain the certification.
- Practical: Canine Good Citizen Test of the American Kennel Club in a public place with multiple distractions. Approval is not required to obtain certification. (Some dogs are not suitable to reach this level through this initial course.)
- If you have completed the course with your own dog, we are available to assist you in preparing for a real Canine Good Citizen (CGC) evaluation conducted by a qualified American Kennel Club (AKC) evaluator.
Note: Aldo Cecchi serves as an AKC evaluator for CGC assessments; however, he is unable to administer evaluations to his own students or clients. We can, however, arrange a test with a neutral evaluator.
1. What Will I Learn In The Third Level?
You will review various canine sports and advanced off-leash obedience, and you will also receive an overview of working dog areas such as search and rescue, tracking, detection, and protection, and more.
2. Do I Need To Complete Levels 1 And 2 Before Enrolling?
After passing level A and any of the levels B, you can take this module if you wish to learn more about advanced dog training. It is necessary to have the initial level (1) approved, and it is not necessary to have level 2 approved.
3. Do I Need To Own A Dog To Take This Course?
If you do not own a dog, we can provide one for you, and you may also have the option to temporarily foster it if desired.
4. How Long Is The Course And What Certification Does It Offer?
The program lasts two months, totaling 32 hours, divided into 8 theoretical and 8 practical lessons of 2 hours each. This course is titled Assistance and Service Dog Trainer. Certification: Emotional Support – Assistance – Service Dog Trainer (Life Enhancer). The course is focused on the preparation for the AKC Canine Good Citizen exam and other certifications in the area, depending on the goals and development area.
