About Human K9 Academy

We represent 35 years of mastery across every canine discipline. As the creators of the Tridimensional Method, we have dedicated our lives to perfecting the arts of dog training, helping both dogs and human society through the power of K9 training.

Currently residing and practicing my profession as a Master Instructor in the United States, where I collaborate with the organization “A Bridge To Home Rescue.” Through this entity, I provide assistance to dogs coming from various rescues, especially those with extreme behaviors that require specialized attention that my method can meet. In most cases, dogs that other trainers have rejected or failed to resolve behavioral issues are referred to me, making me their last opportunity before considering euthanasia.

Over the years, I have collaborated with various companies specializing in canine training, dog clubs, and animal rescues, contributing my experience and knowledge to the development of training, rehabilitation, and animal welfare programs. My work in Southern California has strengthened my reputation as a behavioral rehabilitation specialist, contributing to the successful reintegration of dogs with behavioral problems. Throughout my career, I have maintained an ethical and effective approach, promoting continuous improvement in the quality of life for dogs and the training of professionals in the field, with an emphasis on responsible practices based on empirical evidence.

  • Launched the human instruction program based on the Cecchi Tridimensional method, through seminars and courses for a range of individuals, from simple dog guardians who wish to learn and train their dogs themselves, to shelter volunteers seeking to improve their skills in helping the dogs under their influence, up to the training of more and better professional dog trainers. (Year 2026).
  • Accepted to become a member of the APDT (Association for Professional Dog Training International). (2025)
  • Invented and patented in the US Patent Office the SES (Smart Ear Solution), a device aimed at assisting advanced canine operations, improving the quality of life for dogs with issues related to extreme noise, as well as applying stimulation-based therapies to traumatized and/or reactive dogs. (2023).
  • Successfully passed the exam and, due to my trajectory, was certified as an Evaluator by the American Kennel Club for Canine Good Citizen exams (Year 2020).
  • Due to my experience, I am accepted as a professional member of the International Association of Canine Professionals in the USA (Year 2020).
  • While living and working in the USA, I travel to Argentina to meet with staff from the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Córdoba. I designed the first course for canine education promoters within PIIA (Animal-Assisted Interventions Program) at the National University of Córdoba. Conducted online classes from the USA for the University of Córdoba on the Cecchi Tridimensional method focused on assistance dogs (2019). This initiative received a government recognition from the Provincial Chamber of Deputies of Córdoba for my contribution to the community.
  • While in Argentina, at the request of Falco K9 Academy, the US government granted me a work visa 01 for extraordinary abilities (Year 2017). I traveled to the USA to work at Falco K9 Academy for two years, then renewed the visa at the request of Falco K9 OC (a franchise of the previous), and again renewed it to work at Rowdy Hound, a company dedicated to canine training and manufacturing dog transport boxes for Harley Davidson motorcycles, with which I traveled across the USA. Finally, I renewed the visa through the shelter I am currently working with.
  • As a result of the Delta Program, I created Prisu K9 (Regional Interaction and Support Program for K9 Units), promoting the creation of a network based on the idea that if different participating groups adopted a common methodology such as the Cecchi method for rescue dog training, their interaction and support would significantly boost search and rescue operations. This approach addressed the problem of working with isolated teams that did not know each other or worked out of sync. The program brought everyone together, enabling them to work under a standardized pattern. During this process, hundreds of dogs, handlers, trainers, and instructors were trained. The success was such that the program led to the creation of the Rescue Dogs Area of the Córdoba Volunteer Firefighters (Argentina). This successful model has saved many lost people and recovered human remains and has been replicated by other organizations across the continent. Due to my leadership and collaboration, I received the designation of General Instructor (ad honorem) of the K9 Area of the Córdoba Volunteer Firefighters Federation (Year 2013).
  • Founded, along with graduates of my canine trainer academy, the non-profit organization Cynotecnic (K9) Cordobés Club, to give legal framework to the Delta program and promote canine sports for improving the quality of life of all involved. My role was strategic leadership and advice, acting as the mind and guide without holding administrative or paid positions (Year 2016).
  • Upon returning to Argentina, I founded Coliseo Canine, a center dedicated mainly to human training, where numerous courses and seminars on canine training in all areas were held (Year 2015).
  • I was again invited by Falco K9 Academy in the USA to collaborate on a project for training explosive detection dogs, aiming to improve the speed and effectiveness of existing training systems. These advances are now applied in other civil and police training areas (Year 2015). I co-authored my first book: “The Perfect Dog Training Method – The Cecchi Method of Balancing, Love, Respect & Energy.”
  • Created the Delta program, based on the application of the Cecchi Tridimensional method for selecting and training dogs (Year 2012).

The Delta program was developed to address various societal issues related to dogs, primarily abandonment, canine aggression, and animal cruelty.

For over a decade, without financial compensation, I have advised governments, shelters, and provided free seminars in private and public centers. I also give talks and conduct exhibitions in schools to raise awareness and educate the community about animal welfare and responsible coexistence with dogs.

  • At the community’s request, I created the first Canine Trainer Academy in the interior of Argentina, supported by Falco K9 International in the USA. I developed a training program based on the Cecchi Tridimensional method and improved its manuals. This academy has trained many canine trainers in education, training, and rehabilitation, significantly impacting the community by making services more accessible, reducing euthanasia due to behavioral problems, and supporting the objectives of the Delta program in decreasing abandonment, aggression, and cruelty (Year 2011).
  • Established Parque del Lobo, a highly specialized canine training and rehabilitation center providing assistance to private shelters and government agencies. It set the highest standards in the field and served as the base for the first graduating class of my training academy (Year 2010).
  • Invited to collaborate on a joint project between Falco K9 Academy and the University of California Davis on detection dogs for Escherichia coli and Salmonella in vegetables. Due to the success of this project and my contributions, I was awarded the title of Master Instructor (Year 2010).
  • Invited by Andy Falco to exchange knowledge on police and detection dogs, receiving training from his academy in all areas, earning the title of Master Trainer K9 (Year 2008).
  • Trained with Ivan Balavanov, then the world champion in canine training, becoming his disciple and collaborator at his canine training center in Florida, USA (Year 2007).
  • Created Cecchi K9 Division, a private enterprise providing security and detection dogs to private security companies through trained dog rentals. Most of these dogs came to me as a last resort before euthanasia, and I rehabilitated and trained them, offering them for adoption or rental, which saved many lives and significantly impacted security operations (Year 2006).
  • After completing courses and passing exams, I was appointed a Certified Canine Trainer Judge by the Argentine Club of German Shepherd Dog Breeders (Year 2006). That same year, I was also certified as an Official Helper in Canine Training within the same institution.
  • Developed the first Bivalent Protection and Detection Dogs in Argentina, based on prey drive protection training, expanding operational capabilities with dogs capable of both security and detection tasks (Year 2006).
  • I attended a two-month course on anti-narcotics detection, led by the Frontera Norte Group (a joint unit of Gendarmerie and Salta Police k9 units). I passed with top standards and was certified as a handler and trainer of anti-narcotics dogs endorsed by the DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration, USA) (Year 2006).
  • Attended the course organized by the K9 unit of the Santiago del Estero Police, earning the title of National Instructor for Security Force Dogs endorsed by the Argentine Cynological Federation (Year 2006).
  • Successfully completed the advanced level of Guard Dog Training (tracking, obedience, protection) with Etzel Von Liebesmeer, a Rottweiler. This dog later achieved level 2 and became the first tactical police dog of the Argentine Security Police, notably guarding Fidel Castro during his visit to Córdoba airport. Being the first dog from the interior of the country to pass these exams, I received recognition from the Córdoba Kennel Club, where I later served on the board and founded its canine training committee (Year 2006).
  • As president of K-SAR Córdoba, I was invited to the first certification of rescue dogs in collapsed structures in Argentina, organized by the Jujuy Province Ministry of Justice and its canine division. Out of 50 teams from across the country, my Labrador Pana and I were the only ones to pass the certification for dogs in collapsed structures (Year 2005).
  • Founded the first working dog kennel in Córdoba, Argentina, mainly breeding German Shepherds, Malinois, Labradors, and Rottweilers. Although successful, I did it mainly to experiment with my theories, as canine breeding never became a passion for me. Many of the dogs from this kennel supplied security forces and search and rescue teams, mostly through donations (Year 2004).
  • Successfully passed my first advanced Guard Dog Training exam with Hiva Von Sprin, later competing successfully with five different dogs in higher categories, though without achieving championships due to scheduling conflicts. I consider dog sports as excellent learning environment but have not dedicated myself fully to competition, viewing it more as a learning hobby (Year 2004).
  • Competed for first time in canine training within the German Shepherd Dog Breeders Club at regional, interregional, and national levels, winning three championships with my German Shepherd Hiva Von Sprin (Year 2003).
  • Founded KSAR Córdoba, the first civilian search and rescue group in Córdoba Province, focused on locating missing persons using generic scent detection. This group served as the foundation for subsequent groups in this field (Year 2003).
  • Developed a self-taught system for explosive detection dogs and created the first explosive detection dog for the Córdoba Aeronautical Police Squadron, named Tommy, who also served as a bodyguard for presidents and officials at Córdoba airport.
  • Established Tierra de Lobos, one of the first comprehensive canine training centers in my region, which evolved into a rescue and behavioral rehabilitation center for dogs (Year 2002).
  • Began shaping the Cecchi method, creating the first basic manual, the first puppy training program, and the initial training center at my home. Developed the first basic education program for puppies and young dogs, as well as a rehabilitation program for behavioral issues, with a clear division between training, education, and rehabilitation (Year 2001).
  • Developed the “control by positive motivation” technique, the main foundation of my method (2001).
  • Officially joined the K9 Unit of Aeronautic Police (FAA), certified as a handler for anti-narcotics and security dogs (Year 1999).
  • Founded JD Canine Training after years of self-education through theory and practice, embarking on my own business focused on canine training (Year 1997).
  • Decided to become a professional canine trainer, self-educating through reading and practicing with my community’s dogs (neighbors, friends, and family). A decade later, I had the opportunity to train and learn from national and international experts (Year 1994).
  • JD came into my life, a mixed breed of German Shepherd and Antarctic Dog, which I began training using a book inherited from my late father. Success with this dog motivated me to learn more about canine training, igniting a deep passion (Year 1990).
